Video mapping ” The Essence of Light ” is an interdisciplinary art piece that incorporates the art of calligraphy with the Silk Road. This art form uses the dance of the pen to convey the message of peace and humanity in colorful and vibrant lands. The content of this work draws inspiration from calligraphy of countries such as China, Japan, India, Iran, Arabic and European countries to transform the national symbol of Iran (the Azadi Tower of Tehran) into a gateway for civilizations. Amirreza Salari received the UNESCO Honorary Diploma and Trophy for the best art work in the International Calligraphy Festival for his successful video mapping of “The Essence of Light”. The video mapping of “The Essence of Light” in the Silk Road Festival gained significant attention from both domestic and foreign media, culture and art enthusiasts, travelers from various countries, as well as the Secretary-General of UNESCO.
