This work is the world’s first video mapping project executed on large mirrors and mirrors with numerous fractures, to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall. The content of this work is a free interpretation of the book “The Conference of the Birds” by Attar of Nishapur, which retells the mythical story of the Simurgh bird. The story follows birds embarking on a journey to seek salvation, evolution, and ultimately discovering that their unity lies in the form of 30 birds, led by the king of birds. This story is intriguing, especially given the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the peace between two Germanys, resulting from the continuation of the people’s movement and unity against the superpowers of the East and the West. Throughout history, most cultures have regarded birds as symbols of love, peace, and the human spirit.
This magnificent work of art has given new form to this valuable concept, using geometric shapes, walls, mirrors, and emphasizing them with the mapping of light lines and a universal language to convey the message to the audience. The project was produced and executed by Dey-Sun Cultural Institute, the top content producer and 3D projection (video mapping) executer in Iran. The continuity, storytelling, creation of artistic content, scientific and technological knowledge, and precise and professional engineering are unique features of this collection. Amirreza Salari, the founder of Dey-Sun cultural and artistic institute, is the first scientific and academic video mapping artist in Iran with over 10 years of experience, and has been awarded the UNESCO Honorary Diploma, the United Nations, Iran Mall, and more.
